The Future Mundane is an immersive audio-visual experience that takes place within a teardrop caravan that has been designed to imitate a near future living room environment. The audience is guided through the experience by the voice of an AI acting as the voice of the living room, revealing the amount of data that we as users are willing to share in return for more personalised experiences in the home, such as Netflix and Prime Video’s suggested watching lists.

This project is a collaboration between Lancaster University and Nottingham University, with the BBC as project partners, funded by the EPSRC.
