We are a group of researchers from Imagination Lancaster, a design research facility based at Lancaster University. For the past few years, our AI working group has been working on projects around artificial intelligence. Specifically, this has been in relation to small-medium enterprises and creative industries’ perceptions and concerns around AI, crossing over into issues related to legibility, such as copyright.

This is our response to the UK Government consultation on AI and Copyright, which finished on 25 February 2025. The views presented below are our own as researchers and academics and do not reflect those of our institution.
