Curating Translation: "We are We" by Noémi Lefebvre in Words Without Borders

Press/Media: Research

Description

"We are We" was part of the works I commissioned from writers Noémi Lefebvre, Laurent Grappe, Ulrike Almut Sandig and Emma McGordon. I asked each artists/writers to create a work on the theme of the European Periphery for the "Found in Translation" event I organised on the 29th of March. I then asked each person to freely translate each other's works into their own language. "We are we" were Noémi Lefebvre and Laurent Grappe's contribution and was subsequently published in Words without Borders. This curatorial work is attached to my "Translation as Creative Critical" practice grant.
