IFIP Presents at UNIDO AIM Global Forum 2024

On 10 December 2024, IFIP President Anthony Wong, IFIP TC3 Chair Don Passey and the IFIP General Secretary Anatolii Marushchak organised and participated in the online panel discussion AI Governance: from Education to Regulations. It was a side event of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) the Global Alliance on Artificial Intelligence for Industry and Manufacturing (AIM Global) Global Forum.

This session was devoted to the latest trends and innovations in education and regulation that are and will be influencing the future of humanity. It included a presentation by the IFIP Task Force on Sustaining relevant and inclusive Digital Education for young people (5-18 years of age) in relation to it final report with regard to AI frontiers. The role of both education and regulation in industry development from the IFIP community perspective was highlighted. 

That same day, the IFIP General Secretary Anatolii Marushchak represented IFIP at the in-person panel discussion on Global Policy Perspectives (II): Sustainability at the UNIDO headquarters in Vienna. During the session, Mr Marushchak discussed IFIP’s contribution to the development of frameworks and guidelines for the responsible adoption of AI.
