Lancaster University, in partneship with Lancaster City Council, are inviting young adults (18-30 years old) to participate in shaping the future of the Lancaster District through the "Placemaking with Young Adults 2.0" project. Aimed at integrating their perspectives into the Local Plan, the project addresses housing, transportation, job opportunities, and environmental strategies. Building on earlier successful initiatives like the Sustainable Travel and Climate Strategies, young participants will engage in walking workshops and interactive events during May and June. These activities will explore development ideas and sustainable land use. This initiative seeks to ensure that the district’s future development reflects the needs and aspirations of young people, influencing policies for the next 15 to 20 years. Workshops will take place at various locations, with registration available online.
