Research interests include supply chain complexity; supply chain resilience; supply chain risk management. Methodological interests lie in systematic literature review; meta-analysis; structural equation modeling.  

PhD supervision

Willing to supervise PhD students in supply chain resilience, disruption management, supply chain complexity, and Innovative technologies in SCM areas.


Since October 2021, Dr. Anas Iftikhar has been an International Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Lancaster University, United Kingdom. He completed his Ph.D. in Economics, Management, and Quantitative Methods from the University of Salento, Italy in May 2021. During the doctoral program, he held a visiting researcher position at Ghent University (Belgium) and the Cardiff Business School at Cardiff University (UK). He also holds industry experience in the inventory planning and operations management area.

Anas Iftikhar’s research focuses on how supply chain capabilities in disruptive and complex environments improve firm resilience. In this area, he has published research articles in the leading academic journals, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Business Research. He has also participated and presented his research works at the international conferences, European Operations Management Association (EUROMA) annual conference, IFAC Conference on Manufacturing Modelling, Management & Control, Industrial Engineering Operations Management (IEOM) society.
