Research overview


Dr Irina Rets is a Research Associate in the Department of Management Science (LUMS). She joined Lancaster in 2021 following the completion of her PhD from the Open University (UK), Institute of Educational Technology.

Research of Dr Irina Rets covers topics related to inclusion and technology enhanced learning. She used a variety of methods to explore these topics: eye-tracking, statistical modelling, advanced qualitative analysis of interview data and longitudinal reflective learner diaries.

Irina is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA). As a seminar leader and then an Assistant Professor she taught a variety of academic university courses to undergraduate and graduate students in international English-medium settings, as well as in the UK. 

She currently conducts research for the BIAS project at LUMS, looking into the AI-assisted decision making and management of diversity and inclusion in organisations.

Research of Dr Rets has been published in such WoS impact factor journals, as Journal of Computer Assisted LearningInteractive Learning Environments, as well as in such CORE A conference proceedings, as Learning at Scale.
