Dr Jonathan Griffin

Former Research Student

Research overview

Jonathan is studying the pathways through which plants tolerate and respond to changing environmental conditions. The focus of his work is on the regulation of photosynthesis through the Phytochrome (Phy) photoreceptor family in response to changing environmental stresses. The findings from the project will be important in preparing for the predicted impacts of climate change.

Jonathan completed a Masters of Research program studying heavy metal homeostasis in Arabidopsis prior to starting his PhD at Lancaster University.
