Research overview

Katie is a Research Fellow funded by ADR UK (Administrative Data Research UK), an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) investment (part of UK Research and Innovation) at Lancaster University Law School. Katie completed her ESRC-funded PhD research at the University of Liverpool and was awarded her doctorate in June 2019. Her PhD research focused on the disproportionate involvement of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) children and looked after children in the youth justice system in England and Wales. Her current works involves utilising linked MoJ/DfE data to explore the intersections between ethnicity, care experience and criminal justice systems involvement.
