Samin Chowdhury

Research overview

Dr Samin Chowdhury is an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow in General Practice and an honorary researcher at Lancaster University. He has completed a Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Clinical Research at Lancaster University. His main research interests are improving the quality of routinely collected health data to improve clinical outcomes in patients with kidney disease. He is also interested in investigating the impacts of multimorbidity on clinical outcomes in patients with chronic kidney disease. He is currently working on a systematic review to investigate the utility and quality of routinely collected primary care data in kidney disease outcome research in the UK. 

He completed an MSc in Biomedical and Molecular Sciences Research at King's College London in 2017, where he worked under the supervision of Dr. Rafael T.M. de Rosales to test the efficacy of bisphosphonate molecules as imaging agents to detect vascular calcification.
