Research overview

I am a Public Health Registrar (ST4) and NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Public Health based in the Faculty of Health and Medicine. My research is in the field of Public Heath, and my areas of interest are women's health and rights, sexual and reproductive health and HIV, and health inequalities. I am a mixed methods researcher, and strive to incorporate participatory research approaches. I am a co-investigator of the Canadian HIV Women's Sexual and Reproductive Health Cohort Study (CHIWOS), and continue to collaborate on projects with this team internationally. I currently hold a Clinical Lecturer Starter Grant from the Academy of Medical Sciences to conduct research into uptake of and preferences for remote contraceptive services, and implications for health inequalities

My service Public Health work is currently undertaken within the National Sexual Health, Reproductive Health and HIV Team in the Office of Health Improvement and Disparities in the Department of Health and Social Care. I aim to promote links between academic and applied public health through my split role.
