Vicky Gorton

Research overview

I am a PhD student, funded by the ESRC, with research interests in teaching-learning in Higher Education, public engagement with science and statistics, and the sociology of knowledge.

At present I am researching how research methods are conceptualised and performed across Higher Education Social Science disciplines. I am particularly interested in how the thinking about, and teaching/learning are woven together to produce disciplinary and cross-disciplinary narratives about what research methods are.

Qualifications

2013 - MRes Science and Technology Studies (Distinction), University of Exeter.

2012 - BSc Geography (First Class), Royal Holloway, University of London.
