Abstract

Airport slot allocation involves multiple stakeholders and objectives. In this work, we propose a decision-making framework that integrates these two problem characteristics. Our framework consists of a multi-objective mixed integer programming (MIP) model and solution approach that enables the generation of all non-dominated schedules concerning total displacement, maximum displacement and the number of displaced requests objectives. The framework is complimented by a multi-criteria decision-making approach that considers operational delays and assesses the performance of each generated schedule based on stakeholders’ preferences. The applicability of the proposed framework is demonstrated using preference data obtained from a survey with airport slot allocation stakeholders.
