Abstract

The paper reviews the network architecture and the structure of the network components in the PeterPan project, and presents the main results of the project field trials. The PeterPan (Provision of an Enhanced Transport by Exploiting Reservation in iP and Atm Networks) project was included in the ACTS research program of the European Union, and had the main objectives of defining, developing and experimenting a functional architecture suitable Fur an efficient support of Quality of Service (QoS) fur real time multimedia applications.
