N2 - This report is concerned with detailing the processes involved in teaching; this was accomplished through an analysis of existing research literature. It was recognised at the outset of the study that teachers engage with teaching and learning in three related but different ways. They are concerned with processes involving: pedagogic principles (how they think about the background philosophies and objectives of their teaching); teaching practices (how they might plan for their teaching and their students’ learning); and instructional approaches (how they might construct specific lessons and activities, who is involved in doing what, and what outcomes are desired).
