Abstract

Websites like Netflix and YouTube personalise our entertainment, and products like Alexa control our home with voice command. But do you ever think about how much technology knows about you and your loved ones? Do you wonder where personal information will be stored, how safe it is, or how household objects will interact with each other, and you? And in the future, how much will your living room know about you?
We invite individuals, couples, families, and groups of friends to explore these questions at FACT in a simulated living room of the future.
This is a Research and Development project delivered between Lancaster University, FACT, BBC R&D, the British Council, University of Nottingham, and University of York. In addition to support from the British Council, this project is being delivered using funds from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).
