Abstract

An optimal-robust Minimax LQG control of vibration on a simply supported flexible beam is presented in this paper. Modeling of the beam is based on the experimental data. The first six modes of the beam are included in the measured impulse response. A Minimax LQG controller is designed for the augmented plant. A trade off between robust stability and robust performance is shown with selecting two different uncertainties modeling. The simulation results show that this robust controller increases the damping of the system in its resonance frequencies.
