Abstract

We describe an experiment to search for evidence of single-roton emission from negative ions in Hell. Preliminary results are presented, enabling an upper bound of 3 x 10^-3 to be placed on the ratio of the single/pair emission rate constants. We draw attention to the urgent need for more accurate measurements of the Landau parameters at low temperatures close to the melting pressure.
