Abstract

In this developmental paper we examine how sustainability is performed through considering ideas of translation and delegation which are associated with Actor Network Theory (ANT). In particular, we examine the social and material intermediaries implicated in the translation and delegation of sustainability in an organisation that is a major tenant at a newly constructed site for urban regeneration in the UK. The paper contributes to the management of sustainability literature by showing how organisational ideas about sustainability can become translated and performed.
