Abstract

As part of the collaboration with LU’s Innovation Team to develop the AR and VR experiences, we made a short film about the development of the VR and AR experiences, with interviews from the student developers involved.

This film accompanied another specially-made film showcasing The Ruskin’s Digital Collection Platform, including the use of Turning Page Books software for the presentation of Ruskin’s manuscripts, and the use of IIIF images, which allow for the comparison of images and objects across other digital collections, and facilitates the joining-up of digital collections of Ruskin material worldwide.

These two films were made initially for the Lancaster Alumni and Development Event (March 2024) where The Ruskin showcased AR and VR experiences developed in collaboration with LU’s Innovation Team, which included current LU students.
