Abstract

This symposium presents findings from an ESRC-funded project, Research Mobilities in Primary Literacy Education (ES/W000571/1), that investigated how literacy research (including teacher-led enquiry) moves from, to and between teachers given a complex policy and communicative context. It explores the kinds of literacy research gaining traction in schools and how to enable varied engagements with a range of literacy research that: reflect a diversity of teachers’ interests and concerns; support professional dialogue and critical reflection; and contribute to genuinely empowering and inclusive
literacy education.
