Improving student experience with service design

Project: Research

Layperson's description

The objective of this research project is to demonstrate how service design methodology contributes to student experience on university delivered degree programmes (full time, blended, online). In particular, this study aims to understand how students experience programme delivery and how their emotional experience impacts on their learning. The project aims to understand how can service design tools such as emotional journey maps, personas, ideation, prototyping, etc. contribute to collecting meaningful feedback from the students that can inform future delivery improvements. The projects puts emphasis on students as partners in HE and explores how the value co-creation can be achieved on order to ensure excellent student experience and learning. The project will also explore how staff involved in programme delivery design can benefit from this approach in order to maximise their efforts in acting on student feedback.
