Research overview

I am a plant physiologist. The characterization of photosynthesis and its implications in plant responsiveness to different Climate change scenarios have been the cornerstone of my scientific research. My research interest is deepening in the knowledge of the physiological and genetic dynamics and processes underlying plant adaptation to different environmental stress  The main topic of my dissertation investigated the bottlenecks in nitrogen assimilation in Arabidopsis thaliana plants exposed to elevated atmospheric [CO2]. Further, I am comparably interested in investigating the response of wheat plant performance within Climate Change conditions: [CO2], temperature and water availability. I am particularly fascinated with the main objective of our research group and I would like to contribute actively to select crops that manage more efficiently the resources available.
