Research overview

Keivan Navaie's research interests lie in intelligent networks, machine learning, cyber-physical systems, and cognitive radio systems. Prof. Navaie is/was on the editorial board of the IEEE TWC, IEEE Comm Letter, and IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers. His paper, ``Access strategies for spectrum sharing in the fading environment: Overlay, underlay and mixed,'' was in the IEEE Communication Society Best readings on Cognitive Radio 2012. He has been on the technical program committee of different IEEE conferences, including Globecom, ICC, VTC, and WCNC, and chaired some of their symposia. He is the recipient of the 2011 IEEE Iran Section Young Investigator award. Dr. Navaie is a Senior Member of the IEEE, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Association, a Fellow of IET, and a Chartered Engineer in the UK.
