Former Research Student

Research Interests

With seven years’ experience in the apparel industry, most recently as a Senior Merchandise Manager at global sourcing company Li & Fung, based in Istanbul, I am carrying out research in socially sustainable supply chain management. This focusses on appropriate due diligence for socially sustainable supply chain management in the textiles and clothing industry with a particular interest in modern slavery legislation.
Additionally, I am exploring the rationale behind manufacturing location decisions within the global textile industry and the recent concept of reshoring – the movement of activities associated with manufacturing back to the country from which they were previously offshored.
